Printing Labels
Manage1to1 can print a single label on demand, right when you need it, so you can produce a fresh student label or a replacement asset tag on the spot instead of running a whole batch.
Student Labels
A student label prints the student's name, their grade, and their Local ID as a scannable barcode, so staff can scan the student straight into check-in, check-out, and inventory workflows.
To print one, open the student's profile and click Print Label. The label opens in a new browser tab and brings up your Print dialog automatically, so it is ready to send to your label printer in a single step.
You can also print a student label the moment you hand out a device. During Rapid Check-Out, each completed checkout offers a one-click label print for that student, so labeling is part of the same flow as issuing the device.
Because the label opens the Print dialog for you, printing is a single step: click Print Label, confirm the print, and you are done.
Asset-Tag Labels
An asset-tag label prints a device's asset tag as a scannable barcode, along with its model and serial number. It is handy for tagging a newly added device or replacing a damaged tag, so the device stays scannable during audits, check-ins, and check-outs.
To print one, open the device's profile and click Print Label. Like the student label, it opens in a new browser tab and brings up your Print dialog automatically, so it is ready for your label printer in a single step.
Sizing Labels to Your Stock
You can set the size of both the student label and the asset-tag label to match the labels you actually print on, so each one fills your stock edge to edge with no wasted space or clipping.
Open Settings and choose Label Settings. For the student label and the asset-tag label, enter the width and height in inches to match your label stock, then click Save Settings. A small preview next to each one updates as you type, so you can see the shape before you print.
For example, a common thermal address label is about 3.5 by 1.125 inches, and many laminated asset-tag rolls are around 3.5 by 1 inch. Set the values to whatever your own labels measure.
If you leave a value blank, the standard label size is used, so printing always works. You can fine-tune the dimensions any time and print a test label to check the fit.
What Prints
Both labels open with your browser's Print dialog, so they work with a typical thermal label printer, printed at the size you set under Label Settings. The barcode uses a standard scannable format, so any label you print can be read by the same scanners you use for check-in and check-out.
