Version 2026.09.1
Upcoming — in progress
Release Type
Stable – Feature & Fix Release
Summary
2026.09.1 builds on the insurance and billing work. The headline is Bulk Enroll Insurance — enroll every student already in your program into a policy in one pass, with a live preview and an optional free/reduced waiver, so the start-of-year enrollment is one screen instead of one student at a time. Editing invoices also gets safer: an edited fee keeps its identity, so a charge you've already sent to your Student Information System is updated in place instead of duplicated.
Marquee features:
- Bulk Enroll Insurance — enroll all your existing students into a policy at once, charge the premium, and optionally waive free/reduced students
- Email Families the Insurance Premium Invoice — send each premium invoice to the family automatically, using its own selectable template
New Features
Bulk Enroll Insurance
Auto-assign already gives every new student a policy on arrival. Now you can enroll the students already in your program all at once — the yearly whole-program task. Choose a policy, choose who (everyone, or filtered by building, grade, or a Local-ID list), and preview exactly how many will enroll before you commit. For each student it creates the coverage and a payable premium invoice, waives free/reduced students when you choose to (a per-run toggle, on by default), and skips anyone already covered, so it's safe to run more than once.

Email Families the Insurance Premium Invoice
When an insurance premium invoice is raised — whether you assign a policy by hand, a new student is auto-assigned, or you run Bulk Enroll — Manage1to1 can now email it to the family automatically, with the invoice PDF attached. It has its own template, separate from your other invoice emails, so you can word it specifically for insurance. Turn it on and pick a template in the Insurance Assessment settings; it's off until you do.

Per-School Default Insurance Policy
Different schools often carry different coverage. The auto-assign default policy for new students can now be set per school, with the district-wide policy as the fallback — so a new student is enrolled in their own school's plan automatically. Set overrides under Auto-Assign Policy to New Students → Per-School Default Policy.

Let Free/Reduced Families Know Coverage Is Free
Waived (free/reduced) students never get an invoice, so families could miss that they're covered. You can now email waived families a no-charge notice — its own on/off and template — telling them their coverage is provided at no cost. Off by default, sent once per student.

Sync a Device's Building From JAMF Pro
For districts whose source of truth for device location is their MDM, JAMF Pro can now set a device's building in Manage1to1 from its JAMF building on each sync. It's off by default (building is normally managed in Manage1to1), matches the JAMF building name to your buildings, and never clears a building that's already set. Choose whether it only fills an empty building or keeps the building matching JAMF on every sync.

Mark Genesis Fees Optional
Districts using the Genesis fee passback can now mark a fee category optional — fees in that category are flagged optional when they're sent to Genesis. Set it with the new Optional checkbox in the Fee Category Mapping table. Fees are required by default, so nothing changes for the fees you don't mark.

Fixes
- Editing an invoice keeps each fee's identity. A fee you've already sent to your Student Information System is now updated in place when you change it — for example lowering a $50 charge to $30 — instead of creating a duplicate, and an edited line keeps its fee category.
- Saving a note lands on the note. Adding a note to an incident or a user now returns you to the Notes tab with the new note showing, instead of reopening the first tab where it looked like nothing saved.
