Summary
2026.09.1 is a large release that touches nearly every part of Manage1to1. Settings is reorganized: Licensing, Buildings, Incidents, and Custom Fields each moved out of the old System Settings mega-page into their own focused pages, and the page that remains is now simply General Settings. The help desk gains shared ticket ownership (more than one technician can own a ticket) and scheduled Smart Rules. Insurance and family billing get the biggest functional push: bulk-enroll every existing student in one pass, email families their premium invoice and payment confirmations automatically, and send that mail from your own district-branded, verified domain. There is also new MDM breadth (FileWave, broader Microsoft device support, and building sync from your MDM), warehouse storage locations, on-demand label printing, and first-class OneRoster class and homeroom sync.

New Features
Settings, reorganized
The old System Settings page had grown into one long, tabbed screen. It is now broken into focused, top-level pages you reach straight from Settings, so each area is easier to find and quicker to work in. Nothing was removed, it just has a clearer home:
- Licensing: your seat usage against your limit, the low-seat alert threshold, and a manual re-check after you add licenses.
- Buildings: your schools and locations and their SIS / OneRoster identifiers, in one place.
- Incidents: the ready-for-pickup email, multi-device incidents, incident flags, and the status workflow.
- Custom Fields: your own fields on devices, users, incidents, and invoices, each on its own reorderable list.
What remains, the core district-wide configuration plus the QR-code display preferences, is now the single General Settings page.

Shared Ticket Ownership
A ticket used to have exactly one assignee. Some jobs need more than one person, so you can now add additional assignees: co-owners who share responsibility for the ticket. The technician in Assigned To stays the primary owner and main point of contact, and each additional assignee is a full co-owner.
Add one from the ticket's Options tab. Click Add assignee, search for a technician, and pick them. They are added right away, notified that the ticket was assigned to them, and can work it like their own. The ticket appears in each co-owner's Assigned to Me view and counts toward their queue, and co-owners are notified of replies, notes, and changes just like the primary owner. Remove a co-owner any time with the x on their chip, and promoting a co-owner to primary (through Assigned To) moves them over automatically, so no one is ever listed twice. If you only want someone kept in the loop without giving them ownership, add them as a watcher instead.

Scheduled Smart Rules
Smart Rules used to need a device or an incident to act on. You can now build a schedule-only rule that runs its actions on a recurring cadence with no device or incident target at all, for standing tasks that should just happen on their own timetable.

Bulk Enroll Insurance
Auto-assign already gives every new student a policy on arrival. Now you can enroll the students already in your program all at once, the yearly whole-program task. Choose a policy, choose who (everyone, or filtered by building, grade, or a Local-ID list), and preview exactly how many will enroll before you commit. For each student it creates the coverage and a payable premium invoice, waives free/reduced students when you choose to (a per-run toggle, on by default), and skips anyone already covered, so it is safe to run more than once. Large enrollments now run as a resumable background batch, so a whole-district run never times out.

Email Families the Insurance Premium Invoice
When an insurance premium invoice is raised, whether you assign a policy by hand, a new student is auto-assigned, or you run Bulk Enroll, Manage1to1 can now email it to the family automatically, with the invoice PDF attached. It has its own template, separate from your other invoice emails, so you can word it specifically for insurance. Turn it on and pick a template in the Insurance Assessment settings; it is off until you do.

Per-School Default Insurance Policy
Different schools often carry different coverage. The auto-assign default policy for new students can now be set per school, with the district-wide policy as the fallback, so a new student is enrolled in their own school's plan automatically. Set overrides under Auto-Assign Policy to New Students, then Per-School Default Policy.

Let Free/Reduced Families Know Coverage Is Free
Waived (free/reduced) students never get an invoice, so families could miss that they are covered. You can now email waived families a no-charge notice, with its own on/off and template, telling them their coverage is provided at no cost. Off by default, sent once per student.

Automatic Payment Confirmation Emails
When an invoice is paid, through any payment path, Manage1to1 can now email the family a payment confirmation so they have a receipt for their records. Every send is logged so you can see exactly what went out.

District-Branded, Verified Family Email
Family email grows up in this release:
- Send from your own domain. Configure a per-district verified sending domain so invoices, receipts, and notices arrive from your own address with proper authentication (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC), which improves deliverability and looks like you, not us.
- White-label the message. Customer emails now carry your district logo and drop Manage1to1 branding entirely.
- One-click unsubscribe. Families get a standards-compliant one-click unsubscribe, and each district has its own email opt-out that the family email queue honors.
- Steady, reliable delivery. The family email queue paces send volume per recipient domain so large runs (start-of-year invoices, for example) go out smoothly.

Warehouse Custom Storage Locations
Warehouse stock can now be organized into named storage locations, bins, shelves, and areas, so you can record exactly where an item lives and find it again quickly. Assign items to a location, track capacity, and keep your stockroom organized as it grows.

On-Demand Label Printing
Print a student label or an asset tag on demand, so you can produce a replacement tag or a fresh student label right when you need it instead of running a full batch.

Roll-Call Scan Audit for Carts and Rooms
Verify that every device that should be in a cart or room is actually there with a quick roll-call scan. Scan what is present and Manage1to1 tells you what is accounted for and what is missing, so a morning cart check is fast and certain.

Hardware Assignment Sign-Off Report
Produce a per-staff or per-room sign-off report of the hardware assigned to a person or a space, for the start-of-year handout, an audit, or an end-of-year return.

Per-Device Lock / Lost-Mode Message
When you mark a device lost or lock it, you can now set a custom message for that specific device that overrides your MDM's default lock-screen text, so a finder sees exactly the contact details or instructions you want for that unit.

Replacement Threshold Warnings
Manage1to1 now keeps a per-user history of parts and accessory losses and warns you at checkout and on the profile when a user crosses a replacement threshold you set, so repeat losses get caught before another item goes out the door.

Broader MDM Coverage
This release widens MDM support and makes device location easier to keep in sync:
- Building sync from your MDM. For districts whose source of truth for device location is their MDM, Manage1to1 can set a device's building from the MDM on each sync. It is off by default, matches the MDM building name to your buildings, never clears a building that is already set, and includes a mapping screen for buildings that do not auto-match and a per-device suggestion in the import review.
- FileWave joins as a supported MDM provider for device inventory and telemetry.
- Expanded device control for Microsoft Intune and Jamf School / Apple School Manager. Run remote device actions, such as lock, restart, retire, and update inventory, directly from Manage1to1.
- Broader Microsoft device support, including Microsoft Quick Assist.
- Re-authorize without losing data. Google MDM admins can grant new scopes (such as device telemetry) by re-authorizing in place, without deactivating the integration and losing history.

First-Class OneRoster Class and Homeroom Sync
Manage1to1 now brings in classes, sections, and homerooms from your OneRoster provider as first-class roster data, so a student's homeroom comes straight from your SIS instead of being maintained by hand.

Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Rostering
You can now roster students and staff directly from Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), read through Microsoft Graph, instead of a traditional SIS feed. Manage1to1 uses Entra group membership to decide who is a student and who is staff (you point it at one group for each). This is the natural path for districts whose on-premises Active Directory is synchronized to Entra with Azure AD Connect, with no software to install on-site.

Turnkey Google OU Placement
For Google districts, map grade to Google Organizational Unit in one table and have it applied automatically on checkout and device swap, and pick the target OU from a live OU picker that reads the organizational units straight from your Google integration.

Expanded Notification Channels and Role-Based Alerts
Alerts can now reach more places and the right people: additional notification channels (including chat) and role-based alerts so the right role hears about the right event.

More Ways to Verify Inventory
- Scheduled, recurring inventory audits. Set audits to run on a recurring schedule instead of kicking each one off by hand.
- Auto-verify from SCCM check-ins. For on-prem Windows fleets, SCCM check-ins can automatically verify devices in an inventory audit (opt-in), so a device that phoned home counts as seen.

Genesis Fee Enhancements
For districts using the Genesis fee passback:
- Mark fee categories optional. Fees in a category you mark optional are flagged optional when they are sent to Genesis. Fees are required by default.
- Per-line-item Fee or Fine type. Each passed-back fee carries its configured Fee or Fine type, set on the fee mapping table.
- Delete a fee or fine. Remove a fee or fine and have that reflected in Genesis.
- Near-instant passback on edit. Editing an invoice pushes the change to Genesis right away, with a tighter backstop sweep behind it.

Invoice Power Pack
Invoicing gains custom fields on invoices, bulk actions, better handling of long line-item descriptions, and expanded payment-gateway support, so billing staff can do more from one screen.

Improvements
- All insurance settings in one place. Policies, Premium and Assessment, and Bulk Enroll now live in a single dedicated Settings, then Insurance area. Learn more
- Insurance coverage shows Pending and Declined. Coverage on an unpaid premium reads Pending and becomes effective as of the payment date, and a coverage whose premium invoice is cancelled reads Declined so its state is never ambiguous.
- Redesigned Email Templates settings with a dedicated section and type-based, categorized navigation. Learn more
- Collapsible admin sidebar. Collapse the sidebar to an icon rail (with hover pop-out) to reclaim page width. Learn more
- Check-all box when assigning new admins to buildings.
- Password managers no longer clutter admin forms. Browser password-manager prompts are suppressed on admin input fields (except the user profile page, where they belong).
- Bulk Cart Checkout import can take a Slot column as the authoritative slot source. Learn more
- Clearer rostering messages. When a rostering provider rejects your credentials, you now get a plain-language message instead of a technical one.
- Google telemetry heads-up. If the Chrome Management API is turned off in your Google project, Manage1to1 now surfaces a clear notice instead of returning empty data silently. Learn more
- Faster MDM reports. MDM statistics are pre-aggregated during sync so device telemetry reports load faster.
- Warn before insurance email sends with no template. If premium-invoice email is on but no template is selected, Manage1to1 now warns you.
- Ticket relationships update in place. Changing a ticket's linked items no longer reloads the whole ticket.
Fixes
- Editing an invoice keeps each fee's identity. A fee you have already sent to your Student Information System is now updated in place when you change it (for example lowering a $50 charge to $30) instead of creating a duplicate, and an edited line keeps its fee category.
- Saving a note lands on the note. Adding a note to an incident or a user now returns you to the Notes tab with the new note showing.
- Rapid Check-Out sends the checkout email. The Device Checkout Notification now sends on Rapid Check-Out, not just standard checkout.
- Bulk-enroll preview counts accurately. The preview now counts students with pending premium coverage as already covered, and the Waive Free/Reduced toggle is honored exactly as set.
- Building always available on devices. Buildings show in the device dropdown reliably, and the Warehouse building type is only offered when the Warehouse feature is on.
- Battery Health report no longer duplicates the health rating across two columns.
- Ticket posting is smoother. The Post button is disabled while a reply or note is submitting, replies posted at the same second sort in a stable order, and clicking a ticket tab no longer scrolls the ticket away.
- Smart Rule emails include merge fields. Merge fields now populate correctly in Smart Rule emails.
- Sent-email preview fits its window. The View Sent Email modal now renders cleanly instead of overflowing.
- Automation settings save independently. Saving one section of Automation Settings no longer clears the other section (so Student Import stays enabled).
- Genesis is steadier. A waiver for an already-resolved invoice is treated as already done instead of retrying forever, and an insurance premium becomes effective as of its payment date.
- Google connection reliability and OneRoster sync reliability improvements.
- Loaner device status and linked devices in tickets behave correctly.
Accessibility
This release continues our WCAG 2.1 AA work with a broad pass across color and non-text contrast, dark-theme surfaces, keyboard operation, reflow, and focus and hover states, including the CSAT dashboard and category-icon badges.
