Version 2026.10.1

Release

October 3, 2026

Release Type

Stable Feature & Fix Release

Summary

2026.10.1 is a big release, and it leads with online payments. You can now connect your district's own payment processor, switch it on for families, and with most processors collect the card without anyone leaving your portal. Around that headline, this release opens Manage1to1 up to your own systems with webhooks and a device API, adds folders, tags, and templates to the Automations page, keeps device locations aligned with your MDM, puts a class schedule on the student profile, and gives you an Email Queue you can retry failed messages from. A long list of customer-reported fixes and a round of speed work fill out the rest.

Highlights:

New Features

Take online payments with your own processor

Districts can now bring their own payment processor and collect fees online, set up entirely from Settings → Payment Gateways with nothing to request from us. Pick a processor under Add a Payment Gateway, click Activate, enter your credentials, and flip on Show in Parent Portal when you want families to use it.

Eight processors are supported. Stripe, PayPal, Square, Authorize.Net, Braintree, Adyen, and Global Payments all take the card on your own page, so families pay without being bounced off to another site. SchoolPay uses its own hosted checkout. You can run several at once and turn each one on or off independently.

Connect your own systems

The REST API picks up two things integrators have been asking for.

Webhooks let Manage1to1 call your systems the moment something changes, so an integration stops having to poll for updates. Register an endpoint you control, choose the events you care about (devices created, updated, assigned, or checked in; tickets created, updated, or replied to; incidents created or updated; invoices created or paid), and each one is delivered as it happens. If your endpoint is briefly unreachable, delivery is retried for you; there is a log to review; and every message is signed, so you can confirm it really came from Manage1to1.

The new device endpoints check a device out to a user, check it back in, and transfer it, identified by asset tag or serial. They run through the same code the admin screens use, so activity logging, notifications, and MDM write-back all behave identically.

Both are driven through the API with a scoped token. There is no admin page for webhooks.

Scale up your automations

The Automations page already gathers Smart Rules and Workflows in one place. This release adds what you need to run a lot of them. Sort automations into folders, search and filter the list, and tag the ones that belong together. Start from a library of templates instead of a blank form, or duplicate an automation you already trust. Export one to a file and import it elsewhere to reuse a setup across environments or hand it to another district. And with per-type permissions, you choose which roles can manage device, incident, ticket, and schedule automations.

Keep device locations in step with your MDM

If you run a supported MDM, Manage1to1 can map your buildings to its locations and keep the two aligned. Building and location changes flow out to JAMF Pro and SCCM, Google organizational units map to and from buildings, and JAMF School locations map in to your buildings, so where a device sits in your MDM reflects where it actually lives.

A class schedule on the student profile

The student profile gains a Schedule tab. It lists the classes a student is enrolled in from your roster, showing the class, course code, teacher, term, and room, with the homeroom first. The tab appears only for students who have synced classes. A companion Classes area under the Users menu lets you browse classes and open any one to see its roster.

See and retry outbound email

Settings → Email Queue is a new page for the email Manage1to1 sends families: invoice, premium, waiver, and payment notices. Cards along the top count what is pending, retrying, failed, sent, and skipped, and a table lists the failed and retrying messages with the recipient, type, number of attempts, last attempt, and the reason each one stalled. Re-send a single message, or clear the backlog in one go with Retry All Failed.

Tell families when insurance covers an invoice

When insurance already covers an invoice, the usual please-pay email is the wrong note to send. Billing Automation now has a separate switch for those invoices: turn it on, choose a template, and Manage1to1 sends the Invoice Created - Insured email instead, letting the family know they are covered and owe nothing. It stays off until you enable it, so covered invoices keep behaving exactly as they do today.

Upload class schedules from a OneRoster file

Rostering from files now reaches class schedules too. Under Settings → System Utilities → Users, a Class Roster card takes a OneRoster 1.1 classes.csv and enrollments.csv and loads the classes along with the students and teachers in them, which is what fills the new Schedule tab. Drop the same files over sFTP each night for a hands-off import.

Separate logos for sign-in and email

A single logo does not always suit every place it shows up. General Settings now accepts an optional sign-in logo and an optional email logo, each separate from your main District Logo and each falling back to it when you leave it blank, so the mark on a login screen or an email can differ from the one in the app header.

A theme switch in the User Portal

Families get a light, dark, or system theme switch in the User Portal's top bar. The portal remembers the choice, or follows the device when it is set to system.

A rebuilt Quick Stats dashboard

Quick Stats is now an interactive dashboard rather than a fixed set of charts. A filter bar across the top narrows every chart at once by building, grade, incident type, severity, device type, and date range, and it opens on the current school year. Six summary tiles lead the page, covering total devices, how many are checked out, open incidents, incidents per 100 devices, open tickets, and insurance coverage, and the charts below are grouped into Incidents, Fleet, and Financial.

The charts are a place to start now, not the end of the story. Click any bar, slice, or month and a window opens listing the exact records behind it, each one linked straight to the incident, device, or invoice it came from. Grade charts roll up into Elementary, Middle, and High so they read at a glance, crowded charts keep their top entries and fold the rest into Other, and a Repeat Offenders panel surfaces the people with more than one incident this year. Every chart has a download button that saves it as an image with a Powered by Manage1to1 footer, ready to drop into a board deck. The page follows your light or dark theme, shows only the buildings your account can see, and keeps the Financial charts behind the View Billing permission.

Improvements

  • Edit an export and import it back (MAN-1746, MAN-1747). Download a device export, or a student or staff export, change what you need, and upload it straight back through Bulk Import. There is no renaming columns and no retyping models or buildings; the importer reads the export's own headers, such as Serial #, Asset Tag, and Model on a device file, or Local ID, Grade, and Building on a people file. For people this covers the manual upload, not the overnight sync.
  • Device location follows the user on check-out (MAN-1813). Turn on Update Device Location on Check-Out in Inventory settings and a device's building is set to its user's building each time you check it out. Cart and room check-outs, and users with no building, are left alone. It is off by default.
  • Add a fine while you file an incident (MAN-1781). Filing an incident now lands you on that incident, and the Add Incident form carries an optional fine section, so you can attach the fine on the spot instead of reopening the record to do it. Leave the section empty and the incident is filed with no charge.
  • A formatting toolbar on the portal's new-ticket form (MAN-1816). The message box on the portal's new-ticket form gains the toolbar and live preview the reply box already had: bold, italics, headings, links, lists, and more.
  • Bad addresses drop off automatically (MAN-1812). When a mail provider reports a complaint or a hard bounce, Manage1to1 records it and stops mailing that address, which protects your district's sending reputation.
  • Incident automations can act on the device (MAN-1474). An incident automation can set the linked device's status or its building as one of its actions, so a matching incident can move a device into repair or to another location on its own.
  • One word for insurance: Policy (MAN-1573). The add-insurance and manage-insurance dialogs on user and device profiles now say Policy throughout, rather than a mix of Provider and Policy, and the picker shows only your enabled policies.
  • Set how long activity history is kept (MAN-1687). General Settings gains an activity-log retention window with an automatic nightly cleanup. It is off by default, so history is kept indefinitely until you choose a number of days to keep.
  • New and Updated badges on the System Overview (MAN-1817). The System Overview flags recently added and changed features with New and Updated badges that fade on their own over time, so you can see at a glance what a release brought.
  • Searchable admin dropdowns throughout (MAN-1624). The dropdowns across the admin area now use one consistent type-to-search control, so picking from a long list of buildings, models, or people is quick wherever you are.
  • Faster pages across the app (MAN-1719). A performance pass adds indexes to the filters behind busy lists and reports, trims repeated queries on heavy pages, caches dashboard totals that used to be recomputed on every load, and eases contention between simultaneous requests.

Bug Fixes

  • PayPal payment confirmation (MAN-1756). Classic PayPal payments confirm and record reliably in production again, instead of being checked against the wrong PayPal endpoint and left unposted.
  • User Portal dark mode (MAN-1743). The family User Portal renders properly in dark mode rather than as a half-dark, broken page.
  • Sign-in field text (MAN-1773). Text you type into the login fields is clearly visible again, not nearly white on white.
  • Alerts on the sign-in pages (MAN-1828). The sign-in and password-reset pages always render in light mode, so a dark-OS browser can no longer hide an alert message against a dark background.
  • Updating devices by mass upload (MAN-1777). A mass upload applies its changes to existing devices correctly again.
  • Editing storage locations (MAN-1819). You can edit and save a storage location again.
  • Warehouse transfer building list (MAN-1741). The source and destination building menus on a warehouse transfer list your buildings again.
  • Incident text punctuation (MAN-1740). Apostrophes and quotes typed into an incident save and show exactly as typed, not as character codes.
  • Ticket assignee selection (MAN-1739). You can pick a technician as a ticket's assignee from the menu again.
  • Portal redirect loop (MAN-1824). A signed-in family member no longer bounces between the login page and the portal when the User Portal is turned off.
  • Duplicate automations in the hub (MAN-1825). On districts moved to the unified engine, each ticket automation shows once on the Automations page, not twice.
  • Dashboard widget permissions (MAN-1659). The customizable dashboard honors widget permissions, so a widget a role is not allowed to see stays hidden.
  • Cycle count start (MAN-1660). Two people starting a cycle count on overlapping storage locations at the same moment can no longer both succeed and open conflicting counts.
  • Overnight student import (MAN-1737). A brief timeout from your student information system during the overnight sync is treated as a passing hiccup and retried, instead of failing the whole run.
  • Insurance premium timing for free and reduced students (MAN-1736). A premium is no longer assessed before a student's free and reduced status is known, and a premium charged before a late update is waived and credited, so eligible families are not billed by mistake.
  • Device Last Seen report (MAN-1735). The report lists only in-service devices, so long-retired ones no longer crowd the stale-audit worklist.
  • Dashboard widget layout (MAN-1734). A tall widget such as Loaner Devices no longer pushes the next one down and leaves a gap; widgets reflow to fill the space.
  • MDM statistics chart order (MAN-1623). Labels on MDM charts, such as operating-system versions and device types, appear in the right order again.
