Version 2026.10.3

Release

October 24, 2026

Release Type

Stable Feature & Fix Release

Summary

2026.10.3 is a large feature-and-fix release with two big themes: making Manage1to1 feel built for a phone, and giving your help desk and inventory workflows more muscle. The mobile experience gets an installed-app navigation bar, single-column flows for the busiest tasks, scannable ticket and device cards, the camera scanner everywhere, and push notifications. Around that, you can split a repair cost across several students, control a ticket entirely from your email reply, define your own ticket statuses, tag and organize rooms, connect RapidIdentity for both sign-in and rostering, and bulk-close tickets with a single resolution reply. A deep round of customer-reported fixes, including several that could crash a page, rounds it out.

Highlights:

New Features

A mobile experience built for a phone

Manage1to1 now feels like an app you installed, not a website you pinched and zoomed. An app-style navigation bar sits at the bottom of the screen with customizable quick actions, and the highest-traffic tasks open as single-column, bottom-sheet flows that are easy to reach one-handed. The ticket queue and device list become stacked cards that show the user, building, room, asset tag, status, and assignment right on the card, so you can triage without opening each one. The camera barcode scanner, previously limited to rapid check-in and check-out, is now available wherever you act on a device. And you can opt in to push notifications for ticket assignments and status changes, so updates reach your phone even when the app is closed.

Split a repair cost across students

When one incident should be paid by more than one person, for example a device damaged while shared, you can now split the charge directly from the incident. Choose the students and how the cost divides, and Manage1to1 creates the matching invoices for each, keeping them tied back to the original incident.

Control a ticket from your email reply

Technicians can now run a ticket without leaving their inbox. Reply to a ticket email with simple commands to change the status, assign it, set the priority, move it to another department, or add an internal note, and there's a one-click way to close the ticket from the email too. The reply still posts as a normal update, so everything stays in the ticket's history.

Custom ticket statuses

Ticket statuses are no longer fixed. Create your own statuses, give each one a color, and manage the whole set from one place, so the queue reflects the way your team actually works. The status list is cached for speed, so adding your own doesn't slow the queue down.

Bulk-close tickets with a resolution reply

You could already bulk-close tickets; now you can send the same resolution message as part of it. Pick the tickets, choose Reply & Close, write your reply (or pull one from your saved responses), and Manage1to1 posts it to every selected ticket, notifies each requester, and closes them, all in one step.

Rooms grow up: tags, responsible staff, and room types

Rooms become a real part of your organization. Add searchable, free-form tags to describe how a room is used right now (a workshop, a testing room, overflow storage) and find rooms by them. Assign one or more responsible staff to a room. And classify rooms by an admin-managed room type. All three are supported in the bulk Room Import too, including a quoted, comma-delimited Tags column.

Connect RapidIdentity for sign-in and rostering

RapidIdentity is now a first-class connection on both sides: as an identity provider for single sign-on, and as a rostering source for syncing your users, so districts on RapidIdentity can use it end to end.

Device requests and temporary access

Two new tools for the people side of your rollout. Device requests replace the shared spreadsheet for tracking which students still need a device: staff submit a request for a student, and the whole team works it from one queue through to the device being issued. And temporary administrator access covers short-term staff, like a media-center substitute or a seasonal helper, with an admin account that expires on its own on the date you choose, so you never have to remember to turn it off.

A configurable default landing page

You can now set which page an administrator lands on after signing in, per user or by role, so each person starts where their work actually is instead of a one-size-fits-all dashboard.

Carts usage history and stats

Carts get their own usage history and statistics, so you can see how a cart has been used over time rather than just its current state.

Bulk upload buildings, and building display-name overrides

Add buildings in bulk from a CSV instead of one at a time. And when a building's official roster name isn't the name your staff use, you can set a display-name override that survives OneRoster sync, so the friendly name sticks.

New and improved reports

  • An accessory loss and consumption report by building, so you can see where chargers, cases, and other accessories are going.
  • New fields on the Users Without a Device report to make follow-up easier.
  • Google Drive storage usage (and related Google account metrics) surfaced as telemetry for districts on Google.

Triage lists without opening every item

The work-order and incident lists now show a snippet of the problem or note right in the row, and the Support dashboard shows the ticket subject on hover, so you can scan and prioritize without opening each one.

API: delete (soft-delete) across resources

The public API gains soft-delete for devices, users, tickets, and invoices, so integrations can remove records the same safe, reversible way the web app does.

Improvements

  • Device import now makes the existing-device match explicit about whether it matched on serial number or asset tag, and flags cross-record conflicts. Close-match suggestions for unrecognized models are brand-aware and add a one-click Use this match button. Bulk Device Import
  • Print a device label at checkout. Opt in, and a device's asset-tag label prints automatically when you check it out, from a device profile or the Rapid Check-Out station. Printing labels
  • Background-job notices (bulk imports, bulk checkout, and the like) now arrive through the Notification Center when they finish or fail, instead of an inline message. The Notification Center dropdown also got a visual refresh. Notification Center
  • Student schedules now show the class period and the dates a student is enrolled in each class, pulled straight from your rostering provider. Classes are ordered by period, homeroom first, so a student's schedule reads top to bottom. Schedule tab
  • "Move devices to building" is now a proper modal instead of controls jammed into the table header.
  • Room Import gained a Room Type column and a Tags column.
  • Faster, steadier imports. Bulk Device Checkout moved to the background job queue (large files no longer time out), and a round of import performance work removed slow full-list loads and batched per-row lookups across the importers.
  • Apple serials with a leading "S" are normalized so a box scan and a device scan match instead of creating a false duplicate.
  • View Invoices can be filtered by charge description.
  • A broad DataTables refinement pass across the admin lists.

  • Fixed duplicate toggles in the help-desk department setup, and the duplicate-email error when updating a department that has sub-departments. MAN-1938, MAN-1961

  • Fixed a 500 error on the View Invoices page. MAN-1948
  • Bulk Device Checkout no longer stalls partway on large files and gets stuck "running". MAN-1949
