Warehouse Permissions

Warehouse access is controlled by three gates, all of which have to be on for an administrator to see and use the feature:

1. Module — Warehouse tile must be on under Settings → Modules.
2. Feature setting — Enable Warehouse must be on under Settings → Inventory Settings → Warehouse.
3. Permission — the administrator's role needs View Warehouse (read) or Manage Warehouse (write).

Turning any one of the three off hides the entire feature for that administrator without deleting data.

View Warehouse

Allows the administrator to:

• See the Warehouse section in the sidebar
• View the list of warehouse buildings and their device counts
• Browse devices stored in each warehouse
• View transfer history and in-transit transfers
• Access warehouse reports

Manage Warehouse

Includes everything in View Warehouse, plus:

• Create new warehouses from the + New Warehouse modal
• Edit existing warehouses (name, ID, address)
• Create new device transfers
• Dispatch pending transfers (mark as in transit)
• Receive transfers at the destination
• Cancel pending or in-transit transfers
• Select devices for bulk transfer from the warehouse device list

Assigning Permissions

1. Go to Administrators → Manage Roles.
2. Select the role you want to modify.
3. Under the Warehouse category, check the desired permissions.
4. Save the role.

When warehouse management is first enabled, both permissions are automatically granted to all roles that have the View Device permission. You can adjust this afterward as needed.
