What's the Difference Between Guides and Documentation?​

Documentation (in the main navbar) explains what each feature does and how to use individual screens in the application. It's organized by module (Users, Devices, Carts, etc.) to mirror the application structure.

Guides (this section) explain how to accomplish common workflows that often span multiple features. They're organized by task or goal, providing step-by-step instructions for real-world scenarios.

Example:

  • The Devices documentation explains the device profile page and all its fields
  • A Guide walks you through the entire process of deploying 500 new devices to students, from importing to checkout
